Pecans are also naturally sodium-free, making them an excellent choice for those on a salt or sodium restricted diet.

Pecan Protein Smoothie
In a blender add:
1/2 cup almond milk
1/3 cup pecans
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1/2 cup non fat plain yoghurt
1 scoop vanilla iso-whey
1 tbsp ground cocoa or carob chips
Ice/blend
